From Rajab to Ramadan: A Call to Action
In this khutbah, Brother Khalifah reminds us that Rajab is a time to prepare for Ramadan by strengthening our Salah, improving our character, and putting in sincere effort. True barakah comes through action, obedience, and readiness of the heart.
BROTHER KHALIFAH
1/17/2026

In this heartfelt and practical khutbah, Brother Khalifah reflects on the closing days of the sacred month of Rajab and urges the community to prepare seriously for the months ahead; Sha‘ban and Ramadan. He reminds us that these months are not meant to pass by unnoticed, but are a divine opportunity to reset our priorities and strengthen our relationship with Allah.
Brother Khalifah highlights the special significance of Rajab as the month of Al-Isrā’ wal-Mi‘rāj, when Allah obligated the Salah, emphasizing that prayer is the backbone of a believer’s faith and the defining difference between iman and disbelief. He powerfully illustrates how Salah unites the Ummah across time zones and continents, all standing in one direction, worshipping one Lord.
Using the analogy of farming, Brother Khalifah explains that Rajab is the time to prepare the soil, Sha‘ban is the time of planting and growth, and Ramadan is the time of harvest and mercy. He stresses that barakah does not come through wishful thinking alone, it comes through effort, consistency, good character, and obedience to Allah. The khutbah concludes with a strong call to improve our Salah, purify our character, increase good deeds, and enter Ramadan ready to receive its full rewards rather than leaving it empty-handed.
