Practicing Islam Beyond the Masjid

In this week’s khutbah, Brother Khalifah reminded the community that Islam is not meant to remain confined within the walls of the masjid, but must be lived, implemented, and seen in our daily lives. He emphasized that the challenge facing Muslims today is not a lack of knowledge of the pillars of Islam and īmān, but a lack of implementation. Drawing from the Qur’an and the lives of the Prophet ﷺ and his companions, he called on believers to stand firmly on Islamic principles, openly embrace their identity, and work together to serve their communities. Brother Khalifah stressed unity, taqwa, and collective responsibility, urging Muslims to use their skills, resources, and talents to uplift one another and address real needs such as hunger, homelessness, and community development. His message was a call to action: Islam is a complete way of life that requires sincerity, effort, and meaningful contribution.
